- Can you use AI to apply for jobs?Verdict: Yes, with careYes, with care. The Civil Service and NHS bodies allow AI for research, structure and proofreading. Inventing experience, pasting in generic answers or using AI in tests is not allowed.
- Can you use AI to write my CV?Verdict: Yes, with careYes, with care. AI is good at structure, wording and tailoring a CV to an advert, but every job, date, qualification and achievement must be real and checked by you.
- Can you use AI to answer interview questions?Verdict: NoNo, not during a live or recorded interview or an online test unless the employer says you can. Using AI to prepare beforehand is fine, and many employers encourage it.
- Can you use AI to take meeting minutes?Verdict: Yes, with careYes, with care. AI transcripts and summaries make a fast first draft of minutes, but people must be told they're being recorded and why, and a person should check the minutes.
