• Can you use AI for a passport photo?Verdict: NoNo. UK passport photos must be unaltered by computer software and taken in the last month, so AI editing, enhancing or generating a passport photo breaks the rules.
• Can you use AI to design a room?Verdict: YesYes. AI is good for layouts, colour schemes, planting plans and shopping lists. It does not know your planning rules, building regulations or what is inside your walls, so check those officially.
• Can you use AI to plan a holiday?Verdict: Yes, with careYes, with care. AI is good at itineraries, pacing and packing lists, but can be wrong on visas, entry rules, passport validity, opening hours and prices. Check those on GOV.UK and official sites.
• Can you use AI to clean up your email inbox?Verdict: Yes, with careYes, with care. AI can summarise threads, draft replies and suggest filters. Unsubscribe and block first, give it the least access you can, and never let it send or delete without you checking.
